Excellent! Great, fun, friendly service. Went there with 3 family members. Everyone loved their entrees. Definitely a favorite.
The service was alright but the food quality was inconsistent. We started with soup which was pretty good. The cornbread was so gritty that I could probably sand a wall with it. Our experience went down hill once our entrees got to the table. I had the catfish with rice, it was edible but bland. My partner ordered the Jambalaya, which was more like rice with tomato paste and horribly under seasoned. This was my first time dining here and I wasn't impressed. Easily the worst food I've had in Ferndale. It wasn't worth the bill.
Ryan was very good in helping us and the Chef Raphael his cooking was second to none now my friend Mr. Paul Miles can take some of Michigan back to his wife in Switzerland until they both return next time.
Great service behind the bar last night. Loved the vibrant feel of the place. It had been a while since I was there last. The food was good, but the chicken breasts are a bit too thin.
This is my go-to restaurant in the Ferndale/Royal oak area. Anytime I have a visitor from near or far, or I just crave GOOD food, I go here. I have a severe dairy allergy and they always accommodate me and confirm the kitchen is careful (I've never had any issues from their food). The menu is wonderful; just enough options to make you choose, but not so many that you're overwhelmed or the quality is lower. I've enjoyed everything I've tried (get the crawfish cakes and the warm side salad!). The staff is genuine and friendly. They give great advice, are considerate, and pleasant to talk to. The atmosphere is so fun; it puts me right back on Bourbon Street. I highly recommend Howe's Bayou.
