Cozy inside with rapid service from a friendly waitstaff. The menu is diverse and theres something for everyones taste. We started with a quesadilla - delicious - with yummy ingredients and a deliciously zingy salsa that was more like a sauce than the chunky tomato based salsa I was expecting. I had the whiskey ribs which were incredible - so tender and fall-off-the-bone - better than any ribs Ive ever had at a rib festival or bbq place. And the whisky sauce was perfect. The seasoned curly fries that accompanied it were great. My girlfriend got the chicken sandwich and wanted me to take a bite. Hands down best chicken sandwich in Detroit. The grilled chicken was juicy and the sauce!! The sauce was excellent!! And of course, we couldnt leave without trying their chocolate fat cake. Layers of chocolate and moist cake that combined for a deadly assault on our taste buds. Later I might care about the effect on my stomach, but I dont right now!! Thanks for a second-to-none four course meal with a comfortable, cool ambiance. We will be back.
Great hidden gem. Really large menu, lots of options. I got blueberry pancakes, they were some of the best pancakes I've had. Only complaint is that it seems to be really poorly ventilated so it was really smoky inside and we left smelling like bacon grease. Also, check out Groupon for a deal before you go!
We love Christine's. It's got a great 70s health food restaurant vibe with great food to match. The staff have always been friendly too. Highly recommend!
