Our family is so pleased with the Ferndale school district, the renaissance that's taken place over the past five years has been nothing short of amazing. I challenge anyone to find a more diverse and forward- thinking district within the state of Michigan. Students are taught socio-emotional development alongside engaging STEAM curriculum; the curriculum throughout the students experience is also challenging, being one of the only school districts to incorporate the Cambridge International Examination (CIE) standards and CASA. The district has a deep and devoted commitment to the arts, recognized year after year as the the state trendsetter for music and theatre programs. Finally, the community is attentive, engaged and fun enjoying support from all of the hip local businesses. If you're seeking a fantastic place to live and raise your children, you've found it.
In kindergarten, my daughter was so withdrawn, miserable, and scared there! As soon was she was transferred to JFK elementary she became a totally different student. She became so bright and happy, just like at home. Something about this school is very dark.

If I could give this school negative stars I would. My daughter went here for kindergarten and was bullied so bad I had to pull her from the district because not only did the teacher do nothing but neither did the principal. We had to go all the way up to the superinendent and he still did nothing. She got suspended from school 3 times in kindergarten for reacting to what these 4 kids were doing tonher everyday...... I will never send her anywhere near this district ever again. Bad school all together
