I know while I was there I acted foolish a lot and I feel sorry for the way I acted there. Staff was really kind and understanding and plus the group's were enjoyable and the people there are friendly and welcoming as well as the peers that stay as well.
This is not a medical hospital, this is for Behavioral patients. You can not just walk in. This was my 1st admission to a psychiatric hospital. I'm an adult female (46). Let me 1st say, no one wants to be here, but I was extremely pleased I was admitted to Kingswood for my episode and experience. The staff was wonderful to me. They took the time to talk with me several times and staff from several different shifts to let me know I wasn't alone or crazy. Some you can tell really care about you getting better. And don't feel embarrassed because I'm sure they've seen and heard it all. You may even meet a real friend as I was fortunate enough to have. We are still supporting each other month's later. The food was quite good here and everyone there just wants you to get better from the cleaning staff, cafeteria cooks and servers to the doctors and staff. It's short term care for the severely emotionally disabled. Whatever brought you there, try to embrace the groups and learn about yourself and your problems. You were sent here for a real reason so let them help you. It was the best place I could have been sent to in my crisis and I would recommend to a friend or family if they were ever in need of extensive crisis help. Keep up the good work Kingswood! You truly were the beginning steps of saving my life and saving me from myself. I thank you immensely and so do my friends, family and support network for saving my life.
food was great. staff was great. overrall very helpful for my mental health. i love it about as much am im able to love a mental hospital.edit-forgot to say that mr.mike is literally the best.
I really loved being here and the staff there is awesome. I had a really nice stay kinda wished i could live there lol naw but they really helped me and love the staff
Says it's open 24 hours and they are but only accept emergency patients through ER and ambulance delivery. Took my wife here at 3am for a breathing problem and they denied us medical attention. Perfect example of privatized health services and hospitals just becoming businesses.
