This was the last thing that I stood by & watched while the owner Jen was arrested. It's all public knowledge for everyone to see. You can look it up at The River Reporter. I'm posting this so you really know what kind of people you are dealing with at this campground! I was a seasonal for two years they said they were going to make improvements. All they did was take your money,disrespect you & tell you lie after lie. If your looking for a family campground I would definitely NOT recommend this campground!
The owners of this campground are horrible people. Frank goes out of his way to nickel and dime you to death while Jen will not come out of their camper till September. The store is never open or stocked and the grass was never cut. I was a seasonal for two years and 11 of us left because they said they were changing owners but Frank and Jen are still there. This place is definitely not a resort or a family friendly campground.
Nice grounds, Good people. Happy i went & plan to come back.I came with my family, we camped in tents for 3 days. We all had a great time.
Frank and Jen are amazing! The hospitality at this campground is like no other! Live music, pool, moonshine samples, wood and ice delivery to your campsite. Very family friendly. The only negative that we encountered was that the bathrooms needed a little TLC but this was minor inconvenience for us. Will be back! Thank you, keep up the great work restoring this place.
I wish that I could give negative stars. This place is a dump. The bathrooms stopped working in the middle of the night and the owner locked the doors and the other bathrooms with showers didnt flush. The showers were small and disgusting with no room to dry off after showering in a small, cramped dirty stall. The grounds are beautiful but poorly maintained with ditches everywhere and the staff was more concerned with selling moonshine than maintaining the property. We did the carefree camping experience with them setting up the tent and air mattresses as well as firewood and chairs by the fire pit. The tent leaked and the air mattress went flat during the night. When complained to management on 4 separate occasions, we were told the mattress was checked twice and was fine. Not one person came to the site to check the mattress. Dont waste your money here. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.
